On November 6, 2025, the closing and award ceremony of the 4th “Uncle Ho in My Heart” Contest was held at Dong Thap Provincial Library, aiming to promote cultural exchange, traditional education, and the moral and ideological values of President Ho Chi Minh.
The contest was organized by the Party Committee of the USSH, VNU-HCM, in coordination with the Party Committees of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Nghe An University, and the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dong Thap Province; the Party Cell of the General Sciences Library of Ho Chi Minh City; and Party Cell No. 17 of VNU-HCM, along with their affiliated libraries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Binh Minh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dong Thap Province, affirmed that the contest goes beyond artistic creativity, serving as a reminder of the responsibility to study, self-improve, and live by President Ho Chi Minh’s example.

Prof. Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Diep, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the University Council, emphasized that the contest provides a platform for awakening and nurturing affection for Uncle Ho, thereby translating such sentiments into meaningful actions and positive values that contribute to the community.

Representing the contest’s jury panel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Trang, Head of the Jury, noted that this year’s submissions demonstrated a diversity of emotions, language, and forms of expression. Ranging from traditional essays to creative video clips and TikTok content, the entries—particularly those by young participants—portrayed a familiar yet profoundly meaningful image of Uncle Ho, reflecting the natural transformation of affection for him in contemporary life.

At the ceremony, award-winning contestants shared personal reflections. Cao Ngoc Hoai Nhu, a Grade 11 student at Vo Van Kiet High School, said that writing about Uncle Ho deepened her understanding of compassion and self-sacrifice, thereby fostering a sense of responsibility to study and live as a contributing member of society.

Prior to the award ceremony, delegates, guests, and contestants visited the Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site to offer incense and pay tribute to Deputy Scholar Nguyen Sinh Sac, who instilled in President Ho Chi Minh the foundations of morality, character, and patriotic spirit. The visit also served as an occasion for delegates and contestants to reflect on the ideological values and spiritual legacy that President Ho Chi Minh bequeathed to the nation.

| Within just over two months of its launch, the contest received 934 submissions from across the country, representing a 23-fold increase compared with its inaugural edition. Of these, 806 entries were deemed eligible, including 574 written essays, 177 drawings, 47 video clips, and eight TikTok videos. The organizing committee awarded three Special Prizes, three First Prizes, six Second Prizes, six Third Prizes, and 25 Consolation Prizes, along with four Audience Choice Awards and one Thematic Award. |
