
ACADEMIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN PE&D AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, USSH–VNUHCM
On January 28, 2026, the Department of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH–VNUHCM) held an in-person meeting with representatives of PE&D to discuss potential collaboration in education, research, and psychological practice.
Representing PE&D were Ms. Julia Levivier and Ms. Nguyen Thuy Chau. Participants from the Department of Psychology included Dr. Mai Lien, Dr. Lac An, and Ms. Nguyen Huong Linh (MA).
During the meeting, both parties discussed and agreed to further explore several areas of potential cooperation, including:
- Joint participation in and contribution to the International Conference on Children’s Mental Health 2027, as well as related academic publications
- Development of internship opportunities for Master’s students in Psychology
- Establishment of clinical referral pathways to the Department’s Therapeutic Service Center
- Teaching contributions to the future Master’s Program in Marriage and Family
- Co-organization of academic conferences, workshops, and webinars for community outreach
The meeting represents an important step in strengthening collaboration between the Department of Psychology and external partners, contributing to the integration of academic training, research, professional practice, and community service, particularly in the field of children’s and family mental health.
In the coming period, both parties will continue discussions toward the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the implementation of specific collaborative initiatives.
