DECODING CORPORATE CULTURE AND ORGANIZATIONAL OPERATIONS: THE REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE OF I/O PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS

As part of a practical internship program in Da Lat from March 25th to 27th, 2026, over 140 students and lecturers from the Psychology Department (I/O Psychology orientation) had the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience at leading businesses in Lam Dong province, including Vinh Tien Co., Ltd. and Dalat Milk (TH Group).

At Vinh Tien Da Lat, students were introduced to service-oriented thinking and local identity, with a business model combining traditional production (artichoke tea and wine) and ecotourism in a mystical flower garden. Students learned about how the company built its brand based on customer trust and long-term employee loyalty. Students actively exchanged ideas and asked questions, sparking discussions about customer psychology, sales techniques, and how a family business can professionalize while maintaining its unique organizational culture.

Dalat Milk: Industrial Standards and Large-Scale Human Resource Management. A visit to Dalat Milk Joint Stock Company (part of TH Group) provided a modern glimpse into the Industry 4.0 environment. Students learned about the closed-loop production process, where discipline and workplace safety are paramount. This is a prime example of job design and the control of psychological factors in a high-pressure production environment. Through discussions with company representatives, students learned more about corporate culture and how large corporations maintain employee commitment through welfare policies and a professional work environment.

The internship program helped students (majoring in I/O Psychology) move beyond textbooks on psychology in human resource management, people, and organizational culture to better understand the "human" element in organizational operations and the flow of the economy. Understanding work motivation and organizational behavior in a volatile environment is key to becoming a professional I/O Psychology expert.
