On April 8, 2026, at the Saigon campus, the acceptance meeting for the Faculty of Psychology's core research program took place. This is a significant milestone marking the completion of the project's core objectives in the past phase, affirming the in-depth research capabilities and practical contributions of the university's faculty to the community.
The meeting evaluated the results of the program: “Promoting Applied Psychology Research at the Center for Behavioral Science Research,” led by Dr. Le Thi Mai Lien. This is a strategic research program closely linked to the activities of the strong research group within the Faculty of Psychology.

RESULTS OF THE EVALUATION FROM THE SCHOOL'S EXPERT COUNCIL
The review board was chaired by the Chairman of the Board – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Van Quyet, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM. Together with the members of the professional board, the evaluation team unanimously acknowledged the achievements that the research group had achieved in the period 2023–2026.
(1) Outstanding achievements in international publications in Q1 category: Out of a total of 22 completed scientific products, the research group made a strong impression with 08 international articles in the Scopus database, including 03 articles in Q2 category and 05 articles in Q1 category.
The Q1 (Quartile 1) ranking is the highest classification for prestigious scientific journals, belonging to the top 25% of journals in a specific field. Having five publications ranked Q1 (including articles published in major journals such as the Asian Journal of Psychiatry and Education + Training) demonstrates the scientific merit and international academic value of the faculty members of the Psychology Department.
(2) Extensive contributions through domestic publications and monographs: Besides international achievements, the research group also focuses on disseminating knowledge in the domestic market with high-quality products: (a) Domestic publications: Completed 12 journal articles. Of which, 04 articles were published in the Journal of Science and Technology Development (VNU-HCM) and 08 articles in prestigious journals according to the list of the State Professor Council; (b) Books and book chapters: Published 02 scientific books, including 01 international book chapter (Routledge Publishing House) and especially the domestic monograph "Psychological trauma and post-traumatic growth: Theoretical approaches and applications in practice" (World Publishing House).

The monograph and the international chapter are the final products of a strong research group.
These studies focus on pressing practical issues such as mental health, emotional intelligence, family cohesion, and work motivation in the modern context. Simultaneously, the program also effectively fulfills its training role by supporting numerous graduate students and undergraduates in publishing their scientific papers at specialized conferences.
At the end of the meeting, the reviewers acknowledged the group's efforts in forming a sustainable research team. The research group will continue to refine the report and recommend maintaining the strong research group model for the period 2026–2029 to further enhance the scientific prestige of the Faculty and the University.
