Announcement of the YICGG 2026 International Essay Competition (Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance)

The University announces the YICGG 2026 international essay competition to all faculties. Details are as follows:
1. General Information: The Silk-Road Universities Network (SUN), in collaboration with Fudan University (China) and Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy), is organizing the YICGG 2026 international essay competition (Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance). The competition is held annually, addressing various global issues.
2. Main Theme: World Cultural Heritage and Human Civilization.
3. Competition Format: Consists of 2 main rounds
- Round 1: Submit a proposal (individual or team of up to 3 people) based on 4 provided sub-themes. The organizing committee will select excellent teams for the final round.
- Round 2 (July 20-24, 2026, in Venice, Italy): Includes various activities such as Ignite Talk (individual presentation), World Café discussion, joint initiative development, and final project presentation to compete for the "Most Valuable Project (MVP)" award.
3. Registration Process:
+ Candidates must submit the information form (using the provided template) and attach their CV via the official email: yicgg_official@fudan.edu.cn to register;
+ After registration, candidates must submit their Round 1 project outline (it is recommended to include a case study analysis on heritage conservation) via email yicgg_official@fudan.edu.cn. Deadline for outline submission: April 23, 2026;
+ The jury will evaluate and announce the results of the teams selected for the final round in Venice in May;
+ At the final round, some candidates may register for the Ignite Talk by submitting a short presentation (150–200 words) via email yicgg_official@fudan.edu.cn; the top 20 best candidates will be selected to present.
