
On April 6, USSH-VNUHCM hosted a conference featuring Prof. Augustine Ha Ton Vinh, President of Stellar Management Education Group themed: “Vietnamese Students: Learning and Practice for the Future, Human Resource Development, and Enhancing Competitiveness for Businesses and the Nation”.

During the reception, Prof. Vinh expressed deep emotion upon returning to his old university. He donated 10 sets of books, each containing four titles: “Năng lực lãnh đạo”; “Tổ chức hành vi, cơ cấu, quá trình”; “Đạo đức kinh doanh” and “Quản trị nguồn nhân lực”. He remarked that the university provided the essential foundation for his success, and he is truly moved to see that the unique essence of the university remains well-preserved.

In response, President Ngo Thi Phuong Lan expressed profound gratitude for his heartfelt sentiments and valuable contributions. She expressed pride in his achievements as an alumnus, affirming that his career exemplifies how USSH-VNUHCM students can reach global levels and contribute to both domestic and global development.
At the exchange, Prof. Vinh shared his extensive experience studying and working abroad. He emphasized that young people must hone their critical thinking and mindset. He encouraged students to utilize self-reflection by asking: "Why can others succeed while I cannot? And why can I succeed where others cannot?".

Furthermore, he underscored the importance of investing in education. He urged students to resist distractions, noting: “Choosing to stay and study instead of going out is an investment of time and intellect in oneself”. He also highlighted that dedicating time to technological literacy is crucial for adapting to the digital era.

Mr. Tran Nam, Head of the Office of Student Affairs, commended Prof. Vinh's contributions. Starting as a postgraduate student in Philosophy, Prof. Vinh absorbed knowledge from other countries and served as an advisor for numerous development projects in Vietnam. His inspiring journey also proved that when students never stop learning, all goals become attainable.
