From March 25 to April 1, a delegation from USSH-VNUHCM participated in the 8-day “Red Study Tour for Vietnamese Youth in China” - "Light of Ideals" Research Camp, organized by the Communist Youth League of China.
The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Van Quyet, Vice President of USSH-VNUHCM, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies - Japanese Studies; Dr. Hoang Thi Thu Thuy, Dr. Do Thuy Ha, and 14 outstanding students. The program gathered delegates from eight Vietnamese universities for a series of academic exchanges, site visits to historical relics, and cultural activities.

The journey commenced with visits to landmarks associated with President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities in China. On the 95th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the delegation attended the seminar “Ho Chi Minh in China", providing access to new documents and perspectives on his revolutionary career.
Students also explored President Ho Chi Minh’s former residence, gaining a deeper understanding of the historical foundation of Vietnam-China friendship while reinforcing the younger generation's role in inheriting revolutionary values and national development ideals. A key highlight was the China-Vietnam Youth Forum themed “Inheriting the Red Gene". This forum facilitated dialogue between the youth of both nations and reaffirmed their responsibility in continuing historical traditions and fostering future cooperation.

Within the program, university leaders worked with officials from key universities in China, creating opportunities for students to engage in academic exchange. At Yunnan Normal University, students participated in a discussion on ideals and youth development orientations in the new era. Meanwhile, at Hebei University of Chinese Medicine and Hebei University of Science and Technology, topics such as “green development” and “digital transformation” were actively discussed, reflecting the innovative mindset and integration spirit of the younger generation.
In addition to academic activities, the delegation visited cultural heritage sites and modern development models, including the Forbidden City, Zhengding Ancient Town, Guandu Old Town, Shijiazhuang International Land Port, and Xiong'an New Area. These visits helped students broaden their understanding of China’s history, culture, and economic-technological trends.
Notably, through working sessions with universities in Yunnan and Hebei, USSH-VNUHCM facilitated faculty exchanges and research connections, while initiating discussions on joint training programs such as 2+2, 3+1, and 1+1. These initiatives contribute to building flexible, substantive, and sustainable international training models. The program not only provided students with international learning experiences but also underscored the proactive integration of USSH-VNUHCM within the regional academic space, contributing to the development of Vietnam-China friendship in the new era.
