During the morning session, the delegation toured Peking University’s smart classrooms and the School of Materials Science and Engineering. In discussions with Mr. He Guangtai, Party Secretary of Peking University, both sides agreed to advance practical areas of cooperation. Key priorities include launching joint and dual-degree programs, implementing mutual credit recognition, expanding exchanges of lecturers, students, and researchers, and organizing annual academic conferences. The two institutions also committed to developing short-term academic programs and joint research projects that leverage their respective strengths.

Later that day, the delegation attended the Vietnam–China Forum on Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. At the forum, delegates heard a keynote policy address by To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and State President. His remarks underscored education as a sustainable bridge for bilateral friendship and highlighted high-quality human resource connectivity as a key driver in the new development phase. He also called on universities to innovate proactively, with science and technology as a central engine for training globally competitive talent.

These directions closely align with the development goals of VNUHCM and USSH-VNUHCM. With a strong commitment to educational innovation, the University views strengthening partnerships with leading institutions such as Peking University as a strategic step toward enhancing training quality. The visit not only reflects the University’s proactive role in implementing national higher education reforms but also creates new opportunities for students, particularly those in Chinese Studies, Chinese Linguistics, and International Relations.

The visit opens new opportunities for learners, especially in China-related disciplines

The event further reinforces the University’s position in international integration efforts. USSH-VNUHCM remains committed to expanding global partnerships, enhancing the quality of teaching and research, and providing practical value to learners in an increasingly globalized world.
