On May 25, 2026, the Faculty of History and International Relations, Department of International Relations successfully organized the 2025-2026 Student Scientific Research Conference at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon campus. The conference welcomed the presence of the Faculty Board and lecturers from the Faculty of History and International Relations, 32 research project groups, and students with a passion for scientific research.

The conference consisted of 8 Councils with 32 research topics and was divided into 2 sessions: the morning session with 15 topics across the Councils and the afternoon session with 17 topics across the Councils. Each topic had a total presentation time of 30 minutes, including approximately 10 minutes of topic presentation and 20 minutes to answer critical questions and receive feedback from the Council. This year's Student Scientific Research Conference featured a diversity of research topics such as politics, economy, culture-society, national defense-security, international law, etc.

The Student Scientific Research Conference is part of the Student Scientific Research Week organized annually at the Faculty of History and International Relations. The conference is not only an opportunity for students to present research results after a serious process of learning and exploration, but also an opportunity for them to initially approach an in-depth academic environment, listen to feedback from lecturers, exchange viewpoints, expand knowledge, and nurture a passion for knowledge.

This year, the Conference continued to record the active and enthusiastic participation of a large number of students, with many research topics spanning the fields of International Relations, from politics-diplomacy, international economy to global issues such as international law. Each project is a commendable effort, demonstrating a serious academic spirit, independent analytical ability, and the students' sense of responsibility towards current events taking place in the world.

Beyond presenting research results, the discussions and critiques within the framework of the Conference also brought about a lively and open academic atmosphere. Sharp questions and in-depth suggestions from the council are important prerequisites for helping students look back on their research process more comprehensively, while enhancing critical thinking and academic presentation skills – essential skills for their future learning and career development journeys.
