Dear students,
The University announces the information regarding the Pony Chung Scholarship program for the 2026-2027 academic year as follows:
1. Eligibility
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students currently studying at the University.
2. Application Requirements
- For undergraduate students:
+ Third-year full-time students currently studying at the Faculty of Korean Studies or third and fourth-year full-time students currently studying at other faculties;
+ Academic performance for the 2025-2026 academic year must be "Excellent" with a GPA of 8.0 or higher;
+ Actively participating in scientific research and extracurricular activities, with a training score for the 2025-2026 academic year of 80 or higher;
+ Have not received any scholarships from other organizations during the 2026-2027 academic year;
+ Priority will be given to: final-year students intending to pursue a Master's degree at Korea University, South Korea, immediately after graduation, and who possess required foreign language certificates (TOEFL 550, IELTS 5.5, or equivalent).
- For graduate students:
+ Second-year full-time graduate students;
+ Ensuring good progress in completing modules according to the training schedule;
+ Have scientific research work;
+ Facing economic difficulties and in need of financial support to complete the course;
+ Have not received any scholarships from other organizations during the 2026-2027 academic year.
3. Scholarship Value
- Scholarship value: 600 USD/recipient;
- Candidates who have received the Pony Chung scholarship over the years have the opportunity to receive full scholarships for studying abroad in South Korea for postgraduate programs (Master's) and short-term Korean language and culture programs at Korea University.
4. Application Documents
- Appendix I and II (according to the template);
- Academic and training results:
+ For undergraduate students: academic transcript and training score results for the 2025-2026 academic year in Vietnamese, certified by the University;
+ For graduate students: academic transcript in Vietnamese, published scientific research works, and evaluation documents of the learning process issued by the Faculty or the Office of Graduate Studies (if any).
- Certificate of poverty or confirmation of difficult family circumstances (if any);
- Copy of foreign language certificate;
- Copies of certificates, awards for academic achievements, scientific research, and extracurricular activities;
- Submit applications online at the link: https://forms.gle/HM4qxMQbRtFYDFpQ7 (candidates only complete the online profile after being officially nominated by the University).
5. Number of Nominations
Each faculty may nominate a maximum of 02 candidates.
