OPENING TOUCH OF DREAMS | Explore, connect and begin your extracurricular journey at the International Relations home
The orientation day for extracurricular activities for new students of the International Relations major, cohort QH24-26 – IR ORIENTATION DAY 2026 (IROD 2026) has officially concluded, leaving behind many memorable moments during the first days our new students stepped into the university lecture halls.

IROD 2026 was organized with the desire to provide new students with a space to experience, connect, and explore student activities and life within the International Relations major. Through presentations, games, interactive activities, and colorful booths from the Youth Union – Student Association and Clubs, students of the QH24-26 cohort had the opportunity to better understand the diverse extracurricular activities taking place in the major.

Not just a day for discovery, IROD 2026 was also a playground for new students to get acquainted, integrate into the university environment, and connect with peers and seniors from many generations of the International Relations home. From the first conversations and shared activities to moments of fun and experience, every interaction contributed to opening up new connections on their university journey.

Especially, through direct experiences at the festival, new students gained a clearer and more practical perspective on the nature, scale, and unique identity of each activity, organization, and club. From there, they can proactively explore and choose extracurricular activities that suit their interests, capabilities, and personal development needs in the upcoming years.
Sharing about the program, Trinh Anh Hao - Core member of the Faculty Youth Union, Head of the Organizing Committee, expressed: “Today's meeting is not only a warm welcome from the Youth Union - Student Association - Clubs to the freshmen of the Faculty of History and International Relations, but also a bridge to help you quickly integrate and find suitable organizations to practice and shine. The Youth Union - Student Association - Clubs will always be a solid support, ready to accompany you throughout the journey ahead.”

Khanh Nghi – a freshman of cohort QH24-26 also shared her experience: “The IROD session helped me learn more about the activities of the Youth Union, Student Association, and Clubs of the Faculty and Major thanks to the introduction performances and minigames organized by the seniors. Before joining IROD, I was anxious and shy because I didn't know many friends and didn't have much understanding of the Faculty and Major. However, thanks to the super enthusiastic and cute support and introductions from the seniors, as well as the friendliness and openness of other freshmen, I felt like I belonged to the IR family. I became excited and looked forward to my new journey at USSH and IR. For me, the IROD session was not only a memorable activity but also a gathering that gave me many friends, helped me be more confident, and understand more about the place I will spend my four years of university.”
“IROD could be said to be the first major event (of the Faculty of History and International Relations) that I attended as a freshman. Before that day, my heart was filled with both anticipation and questions; how could I not be curious when I already knew about the reputation of the Youth Union, the Student Association, and our Faculty's clubs! And everything exceeded my expectations; from the beginning to the end, there were moments that impressed me. It wasn't just a dry presentation like watching a lecture, but lively and extremely entertaining performances. There were times when I had to ask myself how I could participate and become a part of it. Because of that, I was even more excited to visit each booth, participate in games, and hear more information about each house. I clearly felt the enthusiasm and spirit of the seniors. I was also very happy to have the opportunity to get to know many people,” shared Gia Bao - a freshman of cohort QH24-26.
Another freshman shared: “Honestly, before participating in IROD, I was still quite unfamiliar with the activities of the Youth Union, Student Association, and Clubs in the Faculty. Even though I followed all the fanpages, when listening to the sharing at IROD, I was truly surprised because I didn't think the Faculty had so many activities and that the seniors in the Youth Union, Student Association, and Clubs were so active. Especially the booths in the afternoon with games reflecting the unique colors of each house helped me feel more clearly the dynamism, the connection, and the enthusiastic spirit of our Faculty. After this IROD session, I think IROD not only helped me gain more orientation but also opened up new experiences for me to confidently explore and develop myself in the upcoming university journey.”
The Organizing Committee would like to express our sincere gratitude to the freshmen, the members of the Youth Union – Student Association – Clubs, and all those who contributed behind the scenes. It was the enthusiasm, companionship, and energy of everyone that created a vibrant, approachable, and memorable IROD 2026. IROD 2026 has concluded, but the university exploration journey for students of the QH24-26 cohort has only just begun. Hopefully, from the first experiences at the festival, each of you will find suitable activities, a community to connect with, companions, and many memorable experiences during your years at the International Relations home.
And now, let’s look back at the memorable moments of IROD 2026! 📸
