“INTERNATIONAL STUDIES: WHERE YOU START TO SHINE” - Orientation Session for K3 International Studies Freshmen

On the morning of September 15, 2026, at room B4-109, the International Studies Program, Faculty of History and International Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City held an orientation session for K3 International Studies freshmen. The program was an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the university environment, learn about their major, meet lecturers, and connect with fellow students who will accompany them on their upcoming journey. The session was honored to have the attendance of: Dr. Nguyen Thu Trang - Head of the International Studies Program, Faculty of History and International Relations, along with all K3 freshmen. The presence and sharing of the lecturer helped create a warm, open atmosphere, providing students with essential information before officially starting their university journey.

Exploring the learning journey in International Studies

Opening the program, the freshmen were introduced to general information about the International Studies Program, from the curriculum and learning orientation to the learning environment at the Faculty. The shared content helped freshmen have a clearer view of their major and begin to define the necessary orientations for their learning process and self-development during their university years. In addition, students had the opportunity to meet and interact with the lecturers of the International Studies Program. The direct sharing and exchange from the lecturers not only helped freshmen understand more about the major but also provided useful information and experiences, creating more proactiveness for students in the process of adapting to the university environment.

Besides the learning content, the orientation session also created a space for K3 International Studies members to get to know each other, interact, and share through group activities. From self-introductions, friends who were still feeling awkward gradually became closer, contributing to forming a bond within the class collective.

In particular, within the framework of the program, K3 International Studies freshmen held the election for the Class Executive Committee. These are the faces trusted by the group to represent, coordinate, and accompany members in the class's learning and social activities in the coming time.

Through the orientation session in an open, warm, and exciting atmosphere, the K3 freshmen of the International Studies major have officially begun their journey at the university. With the companionship of lecturers and a proactive spirit, ready to explore, we hope that freshmen will have a learning journey full of experiences, continuously learning, and step-by-step creating their own marks during their years in the International Studies Program, Faculty of History and International Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

The orientation session closed in a joyful and close atmosphere, marking the first steps of the freshmen in their learning journey at the International Studies major. This was also an opportunity for freshmen to have their first experiences, proactively integrate into the new environment, and together build a united collective in the upcoming university years.
