
Psychology Student Club organizes a contest to write book reviews Liber 2021 - Meet
Liber is a book review writing contest organized annually by the Psychology Student Club, affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The contest is for all students studying Psychology nationwide to spread reading culture to everyone.
Continuing that tradition, this year, the Liber 2021 contest with the theme "MEET" - Meet familiar things like never before with the thought that books are a place where ideas, emotions, knowledge and people have opportunity to meet each other. The assignment requirement is to write about a book that has brought about meetings that have left an impression on readers.
“This is a traditional student competition, this competition aims to connect students in an academic and experiential direction. The value of the contest is to promote reading culture (the number one task of university students) in an era where the internet/games are addictive for young people - creating dangerous consequences for people. I came to this competition with the purpose of cheering and accompanying you. Wishing the contest much success and bringing great meaning to the community."

Receiving encouragement and support from the teachers of the Department of Psychology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, who are also the Jury, who "carefully" choose the most worthy articles to win. The prize and contest received enthusiastic support and spread to students in the Faculty in particular and Psychology students in general.

In total, the contest received 28 entries. Most of the candidates came from the Department of Psychology of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, along with the participation of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Saigon University, and the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
The contest ended successfully with excellent results from the contestants:
First Prize: Vo Thi Cam Tu with the article "The Little Prince - What is love and the child in you" about the work "The Little Prince" by author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
Second prize: Tran Chi Hao with the article "Hello me - Crazy person" about the work "Genius on the left - Crazy person on the right" by author Cao Minh.
Third Prize: Nguyen Hoang Dieu with the article "The Difficult Friend" about the work "Alone in the Forest" by author Henry David Thoreau.
Most Interested Article Award: Trieu Minh Tai with the article "Fragments of memories and present" written about the work "Dim Gray Hillscape" by author Kazuo Ishiguro.
After ending, the contest received many positive feedback and comments from teachers and students for the contest.

The Club hopes that the Liber 2021 competition has brought a healthy environment, encouraging the spirit of reading and sharing, as well as creating opportunities for psychology students to promote their creativity, perception and evaluation. the knowledge I received in a new perspective.
