2. Programme goals
a. General goals:
Students in the Information Management programme are provided with strong political and ideological attributes; a foundational understanding of social sciences and humanities; the necessary knowledge, skills, qualities, and practical professional competencies in information management to facilitate decision-making in various business organisations; the abilities to communicate effectively in social situations and work collaboratively in teams; the abilities to effectively utilise English for communication and professional tasks. Upon completing their studies, students have the option to explore job openings in information management within different corporate settings, pursue a second degree in related areas or further their studies at domestic and overseas educational establishments to enhance their research and teaching skills in Information Management.
b. Programme objectives:
- Provide knowledge about the information environment, the profession of information management, and the business organisations' context.
- Provide specialised knowledge and skills in information management within business environments, which include information management processes, information systems, and information and communication technology (ICT) applications, establishing a robust platform for practical experience, academic study, research, and educational endeavours in the information management field.
- Developing attributes such as honesty, accuracy, systematic approach, and lifelong learning.
- Develop social communication and teamwork skills.
- Improve the capabilities of graduates to address the information management demands of businesses.
c. Prospective job opportunities
Information Management graduates can work in enterprises and career administrative agencies with the following positions: Data Analyst (marketing, human resources, customer, business), Data Manager, Document Administrator, General Administrative Officer, Contract Manager, Service Administrator, Business Information Consultant, Data Collection Investigator, Market Research Analyst, Project Manager; Network Administrator, Website Content Administrator.
3. Training process, graduation requirements:
- Reach the necessary credit total: 125 credits at a minimum.
- The total average score for the programme must be 5.0 or above.
- Successfully complete requirements for certificates in Foreign Language, Informatics, Military Education, and Physical Education in accordance with the University's regulations.
- The foreign language proficiency level is at the B1 level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference (According to Decision No. 420/QD-XHNV-DT, issued on July 25, 2018, establishes the guidelines for non-professional foreign language teaching organisation and foreign language proficiency standards at the undergraduate level; Announcement No. 494/TB-XHNT-ĐT dated September 6, 2018; Announcement No. 558/XHNV-ĐT dated October 24, 2018);
- Reach a basic level of knowledge in Informatics (According to Announcement No. 585/TB-XHNV-ĐT issued on September 19, 2014).
