03 collectives and 13 individuals from the University were honored for their excellence in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle

    On the morning of May 14, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM, the VNUHCM Trade Union held a conference to review and honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle for the 2016–2025 period.

The event took place as the entire country looks forward to the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, marking the conclusion of a 10-year journey implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo. On this occasion, the University was honored to have 03 collectives and 13 individuals commended.

The three honored collectives from the University include:

  • The Trade Union of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies
  • The Trade Union of the University Library
  • The Trade Union of the Office of Administration Affairs

The 13 individuals honored include: Comrade Luu Van Quyet (Chairman of the University Trade Union), Comrade Ho Quang Trinh (Vice Chairman of the University Trade Union), Comrade Vu Toan (Member of the Standing Committee), Comrade Phan Manh Hung and Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Duyen (Members of the Executive Committee), Comrade Huynh Anh Dao and Comrade Ho Thi Ngoc (Chairpersons of Departmental Trade Unions), Comrade Tran Thị Ngoc Nho (Member of the University Trade Union Executive Committee), along with trade union members: Comrade Huynh Tuan Khanh, Comrade Nguyen Vo Hoang Mai, Comrade Le Thi Chung, Comrade Bui Thu Hang, and Comrade Nguyen Thao Chi.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Anh Cuong (M.A.), Chairman of the VNU-HCM Trade Union, emphasized that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle is not merely a formal campaign but a conscious and continuous journey to cultivate character and enhance the capacity to serve. He highly commended the quiet yet persistent contributions of trade union members across the entire system. Furthermore, he outlined five key orientations for the upcoming period, with a particular emphasis on innovating communications, leveraging digital spaces, and building a team of trade union officials with both professional depth and ideological fortitude.

At the conference, delegates listened to inspiring stories shared by exemplary role models. Mr. Lam Tuong Thoai, former Chairman of the VNUHCM Trade Union; Ms. Nguyen Thi Trong, Chairwoman of the Dormitory Management and VNUHCM Urban Area Trade Union; and Mr. Luu Van Dien, Chairman of the Center for National Defense and Security Education Trade Union, presented emotional glimpses into their daily lives, imbued with a spirit of commitment and silent yet persistent dedication.

In its journey alongside the VNUHCM Trade Union system to implement Directive 05, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM, has continuously affirmed its impact through concrete, practical, and sustainable results. The recognition of numerous collectives and individuals this time serves as vivid evidence of the university's persistent efforts to realize Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle across all fields of activity. At USSH, "learning from Uncle Ho" does not stop at awareness or slogans; it has become a method of action, a standard of conduct, and a pillar of a liberal, humanistic, and responsible academic environment.
