Celebrating USSH, VNU-HCM’s 65th anniversary: 65 years of Striving for Greatness

In 2022, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (USSH, VNU-HCM) celebrates the university’s 65th anniversary with the event “65 years of Striving for Greatness” at Thủ Đức and Đinh Tiên Hoàng campus.

The timeline for this event is from March 2022 to December 2022, with various activities at university, department, and faculty levels. The event includes the following themes:

USSH’s prideworthy history: The Party Committee’s conference regarding the university’s establishment and development; The Alumni’s program; The “USSH-er – Global Citizen” broadcast campaign; The introduction of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorates graduation attires; USSH introduction video; The first gala for Alumni and Partners, 2022; USSH festival of arts; etc.

Research and application of knowledge on social sciences and humanities: Research Week for students 2022: “Students, research and scientific publication”; International Scientific Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities 2022: “Scientific research and publication in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities: Opportunities and challenges for young researchers”; International Scientific Conference on Vietnamese Studies 2022: “Vietnam in the modern world: changing and adapting”; The Second "USSH-er’s Startup" competition; The scientific conference: "Nguyen Dinh Chieu, a national poet and cultural figure”; etc.

Join hands in building a Green University: build the park near Ánh Dương lake and name Thủ Đức campus’s main halls; execute Green University’s building plans; redecorate the Physical Education and Sports Center; Inaugurate “Y-Shop”: a place for books, souvenirs, traditional costumes; etc.

This event celebrates USSH’s 65 years of dedication to training, research, international cooperation, and providing community service.
