6th International German Teachers' Conference on the topic "DaF and German Studies in South (East) Asia: Teaching, Research and Practice in the Age 4.0"

         Lectures of the Faculty for german linguitics and literature

The 6th international conference for German teachers on the topic of DaF and German studies in South (East) Asia: Teaching, research and practice in the age 4.0 took place from October 7th to 9th, 2022 at the University of Foreign Languages ​​- the National University of Ha Noi (ULIS). The conference was financially supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Goethe Institute Hanoi. More than 120 professors, lecturers and German teachers from 10 countries took part in the conference. There were a total of 48 conference papers on linguistics, literature and culture, translation and German as a foreign language, which were presented in 4 on-site sections and one online section. There were also 5 plenary lectures by professors from German and Austrian universities. All of this contributed to increasing the quality of the international conference. Lecturers from the Faculty of German Linguistics and Literature of the VNUHCM USSH also contributed to the success of the conference with 5 lectures in the sections. As is well known, the international conference is organized every 2 years by one of the three German departments in the country, namely by the Faculty for German Language and Culture at ULIS, by the Department for German Language at Hanoi University and by the Faculty for German Linguistics and Literature the VNUHCM USSH. All three German faculties of three universities are active contributors to the Vietnamese German Teachers' Association (VDLV), which is considered a co-organizer of the conferences and actively networks with German teachers' associations in the region and worldwide.
