On January 14, 2023, the opening ceremony of the “Volunteer Spring 2023” for USSH students in general and the students of the Faculty of German Linguistics and Literature in particular was held at the Dinh-Tien-Hoang campus in District 1.
“The Volunteer Spring 2023” is one of two major USSH volunteer campaigns aimed at raising student willingness to support society and spread love during the Tet holiday.

For the first time, the students of the faculty are taking part in this year's campaign as an independent volunteer team with their own program. In “Volunteer Spring 2023”, with the support of the faculty leadership as well as the important contributions of sponsors, numerous significant activities will be carried out, namely cooking night porridge and giving gifts to the homeless in Ho Chi Minh City, visiting poor or
disadvantaged families and giving them gifts, books for children and youth, cook “Bánh chưng” (Vietnamese rice cakes) together with the locals in Cu Chi and build a playground in the elementary school Phu Hoa Dong 2.
The faculty's 2023 Volunteer Spring campaign aims to bring a meaningful and engaging Tet holiday to students, people and families in Ho Chi Minh City.
