International Symposium: Vietnam - Japan relations viewed from the perspective of sustainable development

On September 16, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2023), the Faculty of Japanese Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM successfully organized a workshop. International symposium: "Vietnam - Japan relations: viewed from the perspective of sustainable development". This symposium aims to clarify ① The factors leading to the sustainable development of Vietnam - Japan relations; ② Legacy and experiences in Vietnam - Japan relations since the two countries established diplomatic relations; ③ Factors that help strengthen and deepen Vietnam - Japan relations in the future. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for domestic and foreign scholars to meet and share new research results with each other.
The program was honored to welcome the presence of many delegates and many domestic and foreign scientists. As for foreign guests, the conference was pleased to welcome Mr. Ono Masuo - Consul General, Consulate General of Japan in Hochiminh City, and many representatives from universities and research institutes in Japan. On the side of the School, there was the presence of Dr. Le Hoang Dung - Vice Principal, PhD. Huynh Trong Hien - Dean of the Faculty of Japanese Studies and heads of faculties, departments, and departments.
After the presentation, participants discussed, exchanged, and asked many questions. The atmosphere in the subcommittees was lively, the reporters and chairmen discussed, commented, and completed the research topics. The conference not only creates opportunities for scholars to present scientific research results and discuss issues in research on culture, language, as well as social and historical issues in the two countries. Vietnam and Japan, but also an opportunity for the friendship between the two countries to be strengthened towards the approaching 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan relations.
