
On the afternoon of August 18, 2020, Master students PhD candidates studying at the Faculty of History participated The Postgraduate Scientific Conference in 2020 organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM) at Dinh Tien Hoang Campus, District 1.

The Postgraduate Scientific Conference in 2020 was organized by the University with two meetings in the morning and afternoon of August 18, 2020; The workshop consisted of 6 sub-departments with other faculties in the university:
Sub-Committee 1: Philosophy;
Sub-committee 2: Culture, Vietnamese Studies, Asian Studies, International Relations;
Sub-committee 4: Social work, Sociology, Anthropology, Urban Studies, Geography;
Sub-committee 5: Literature, Linguistics;
Sub-committee 6: English Literature.

Master students, PhD candidates of the Faculty of History participated in the Scientific Conference in Sub-Committee 3 (Education, History, Archives) in Room D405 with 2 sessions: session 3 (from 13:30 - 15:00) and session 4 (from 15:30 - 17:00) executed by the Scientific Council from the lecturers at the Faculty.

The Post-Graduate Scientific Conference is an annual program of the University in the training of post-graduate level. Participation in this workshop is one of the mandatory requirements for post-graduate students (Master students, PhD Candidate) who are studying at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM).

As one of the departments with post-graduate training, the Faculty of History (USSH, VNU-VN) is currently organizing training with 4 majors in the Master's program (Archaeology, World History, History of Vietnam, History of the Vietnamese Communist Party and 3 majors in doctoral and pre-doctoral program (Archaeology, World History, History of Vietnam). The Faculty of History identifies its vision and mission to: Training and providing society with high-quality socio-economic-humanities workforces to meet the needs of integration and development of the country; Carrying out basic research and application to solve the major problems of historical science, especially the history of the Southern region, contributing to the socio-economic development of the localities, especially the southern provinces; Spreading knowledge, research and draw on the experiences of humanity and people in the past to contribute to solving current problems and forecasting for the future. At the same time, with the vision and mission, the Faculty of History has also identified its educational reasons as Tradition - Creativity - Liberation contributing to the establishment of one of the major historical science training and research centers of the country.
