These are new Bachelor of Science in History awarded diplomas in the Graduation Ceremony and Bachelor of Science Degree (Phase 3/2019) of the USSH (VNU-HCMC) on the afternoon of July 09, 2020, at the Van Khoa Hall.
Three of the 27 students who received Bachelor of Science degrees in this period are students from the Talent program.
As a commitment in the Programme, the new Bachelor of Science in History are those who have knowledge of the political, economic, social, cultural and ideological fields; have the ability to apply knowledge of society and history in those aspects: 1-Teaching research in universities, colleges, general schools, and research agencies; 2-Working in Party agencies, government and unions at all levels; 3-Working in economic, cultural and media agencies; 4-Having the opportunity to continue to graduate in appropriate and near fields. In addition to professional skills such as: History compilation, evaluation, historical commentary, collection, processing, history; Bachelor of Arts in History also has other necessary skills such as problem solving, teamwork, leadership, communication in addition to informatics, foreign languages, etc.
This is the achievement of efforts in the learning process of learners, which they have proactively their learning process with the aim of preparing for the future profession (the profession will do upon graduation) to play an important role. And then, with his intellect and culture are best used in his aspiration and ability to participate in social setting, and become the master of his professional destiny, as stated by the educator and philosopher John Dewey [1].
As a recent sharing, in the exchange program I chose to be passionate about students of the Faculty, which took place on the morning of July 6th, 2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Hong, Chairman of the Science and Training Council, emphasized: “Because the whole knowledge of History has equipped us with the whole knowledge of the profession, the knowledge of the successful people, the people who make history, the people whose profession begins in History”; therefore, with the aspiration of youth, in the context of strong international and regional knowledge integration today, I sends my desire to young people to continue their learning and research path in new environments, and should walk out of the “green bamboo ramparts”.
“It is very desirable that all of you should have dreams to go to study abroad. One year is fine, five years is fine, but if you have studied abroad, you will still be Vietnamese in the eyes of foreign friends. You would not be transformed into a Eurasian, or any other foreigners than a Vietnamese.” (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Hong)
