Vietnamese language program combined with cultural experiences for students from National Chung Cheng University

From July 9, 2024, the Center for Vietnamese Language for Foreigners under the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City has organized a Vietnamese language learning program combined with cultural experiences for a group of students from National Chung Cheng University (Taiwan - China).

Through lively lessons, students practice Vietnamese through practical topics such as shopping, cuisine, and personal hobbies. This encourages them to use Vietnamese in daily communication situations, helping to enhance their confidence and language proficiency. Not stopping there, the program also offers many rich cultural activities such as making banh xeo (Vietnamese sizzling pancakes), wearing ao dai, and watching water puppetry – experiences that help international students better understand the customs and habits of the Vietnamese people.

A student shared: "Participating in the cooking class not only helped me learn how to make banh xeo but also helped me better understand the emotions of Vietnamese people through each dish. This is truly a memorable experience."

These inspiring moments have provided students with a deeper insight into Vietnamese culture, while connecting them to the traditional values in the lives of Vietnamese people. The Center for Vietnamese Language for Foreigners will continue to develop more creative and meaningful cultural exchange programs, creating opportunities for international students to integrate and explore Vietnamese culture in a more authentic and profound way.
