On February 19, 2025, the Party Cell of the Vietnamese Studies Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City solemnly organized its Party Cell Congress for the 2025-2027 term. This was an important event to summarize and evaluate the leadership of the Party Cell during the 2022-2025 term, while setting out directions and tasks for the 2025-2027 term.
Attending the Congress were Comrade Tran Van Thang – Member of the University Party Committee, along with all 10/10 Party members in the Party Cell. Delivering the opening speech, Comrade Huynh Ngoc Thu – Secretary of the Party Cell for the 2022-2025 term emphasized: “The Party Cell is not only the political nucleus but also a driving force promoting professional activities, enhancing the quality of training and scientific research of the Vietnamese Studies Department.”
At the Congress, delegates heard the Summary Report on Party work for the 2022-2025 term, the self-criticism of the Party Cell Committee, as well as the directions and tasks for the 2025-2027 term. The report clearly stated the outstanding achievements in directing and leading teaching, scientific research, and Party building work. In particular, the Party Cell has achieved encouraging results in developing the faculty, expanding international cooperation, and improving training quality.
The discussion comments focused on solutions to improve the quality of Party work, promoting the spirit of solidarity and responsibility within the entire Party Cell. The Congress agreed on the need to continue directing the promotion of innovative teaching methods, applying technology in management, and improving the quality of scientific research of the Vietnamese Studies Department.
With a spirit of democracy and responsibility, the Congress proceeded to elect the Party Cell Committee for the 2025-2027 term. As a result, the following comrades were trusted to be elected to the Party Cell Committee:
Comrade Huynh Ngoc Thu – Secretary of the Party Cell (received 100% of votes)
Comrade Phan Thanh Tam – Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell (received 100% of votes)
Comrade Nguyen Van Thanh – Member of the Party Cell Committee (received 90% of votes)
Delivering the directive speech at the Congress, Comrade Tran Van Thang highly appreciated the results the Party Cell has achieved in the past term, and hoped that the Party Cell collective would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, contributing to the growing development of the Vietnamese Studies Department.
The Party Cell Congress of the Vietnamese Studies Department for the 2025-2027 term took place successfully, setting out important goals and tasks to build a clean and strong Party Cell, contributing to the development of the Department and the University, while calling on all Party members to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, pioneering, and setting an example to successfully complete tasks in the new term.
