Educational Trip for Students of the Excellence Program 2021-2025 of the Faculty of German Linguistics and Literature from February 20 to 23, 2025, in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh

The professional training program "Office Management – Tourism" of the Faculty of German Linguistics and Literature not only emphasizes theoretical knowledge but also focuses on practical experience. To provide students with the opportunity to experience a real working environment, the faculty organized a highly beneficial and unforgettable educational trip. This was not only a chance for students to apply their knowledge in practice but also to enhance their communication and problem-solving skills and gain a deeper understanding of the tourism industry.

The educational trip for 16 students from this program lasted 4 days and 3 nights and included visits to several well-known tourist destinations in Cambodia. During this journey, students had the opportunity to:
•    Practice tour guiding: They conducted guided tours in German, improving their language proficiency and refining their presentation skills.
•    Work in a professional environment: They interacted with professional tour guides, learned from experienced experts, and gained deeper insights into the organization of international tours to Cambodia.
•    Explore culture and history: In addition to their role as tour guides, students also had the opportunity to expand their knowledge about Cambodia’s culture, history, and people.

Xuân Thanh, a fourth-year student, shared her experience:

"This trip helped me gain confidence in communicating in German and understand how to organize a professional tour. I also learned how to handle unexpected situations flexibly while guiding tourists."

This educational trip is not only part of the curriculum but also a crucial step in preparing students for the real working environment, improving their skills, and equipping them for the future. With the valuable experiences they have gained, students can confidently enter the job market and build a successful career in the promising tourism industry.
