From June 8 to 13, 2025, the students of the Specialization of Methodology Didactics of the Excellence Program 2021-2025 of the Faculty of German Linguistic and Literature undertook an educational trip to the German Department of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The program began with students being divided into small groups to attend classes taught by various lecturers from the German departments. They observed the lessons and filled in the observation sheets. After the observation, they immediately conducted a professional debriefing with their supervisor and the teachers about what they had observed. In addition, the students organized an introductory German learning workshop at the Faculty of German Language and Literature at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City (USSH). The language learning games integrated into the workshop gave the German students from Wenzao University a comprehensive insight into learning German in Vietnam.
In addition to the academic activities, the students also took part in various cultural events organized by Wenzao University students. These included paper-cutting crafts, an introduction to Hakka culture and a visit to Fo Guang Shan Monastery.
The careful notes taken during the observations and the lively discussions afterwards showed that the students took the educational trip seriously and appreciated the valuable experience they were able to gain on the educational trip.
The educational trip also included a discussion between representatives of the Faculty of German Linguistic and Literature at USSH and the German department at Wenzao University. The possibility of a future student exchange between the two faculties was discussed. All participants were confident about future cooperation and a successful exchange between the two sides.
