Strengthening educational cooperation between the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Universiti Brunei Darussalam

From June 16, 2025 to June 18, 2025, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong, representative of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, had a business trip to Brunei Darussalam with many meaningful activities, opening up prospects for educational cooperation.

Dr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong attended the International Conference on Applied Psychology and Pedagogy (ICAPP 2025) organized by the ASEAN Teacher Education Network (AsTEN) at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), with practical and diverse academic exchanges.

Within the framework of the trip, the representative of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies visited and worked with the Language Centre – Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, which is currently teaching Vietnamese to Bruneian students. Both sides had an intimate and effective discussion about the possibilities of cooperating in student and faculty exchange, scientific research, and promoting the Vietnamese language in Brunei.

The business trip also included a meeting at the Embassy of Vietnam in Brunei, aiming to further promote activities of Vietnamese culture, education, and language in the host country.

The trip is an important starting point for building an academic and cultural bridge between the two countries, while also demonstrating the increasingly expanding role of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies in international educational cooperation.
