Announcement of student exchange program with School of Political Science and Economics, Meiji University, Japan, spring semester 2026

Dear Faculties,
The school would like to inform the faculties about the student exchange program with the School of Political Science and Economics, Meiji University, Japan, spring semester 2026, as follows:
1. Application conditions
- Regular students in year 2, year 3 or year 4, with good academic performance or above (students who do not graduate during the program period);
- Have iBT 71, TOEIC 710, IELTS 5.5, Cambridge ESOL FCE or higher, CEFR B1 or equivalent (valid for 02 years) for English-taught programs; have JLPT N3 or higher or equivalent (valid for 02 years, except for JLPT N1 level, this period is not applicable) for Japanese-taught programs.
2. Time (expected)
- Spring semester: April 2026 - September 2026;
- Fall semester: September 2026 - March 2027;
- Students can choose to exchange for 01 semester or 02 semesters (1 academic year).
3. Cost
Students are exempted from tuition fees when participating in the program and must cover all other expenses themselves.
4. Number
Each department nominates a maximum of 02 students.
5. Curriculum
- English program: Mass media analysis, History of international relations, Japanese political culture, International media analysis, Media and public opinion, Asian politics, Comparative politics, History of Japanese political thought, History of political thought, Japanese political history, Theory of political process...;
- Japanese program: subjects on politics, international relations, economics, society...;
- Some courses on Japanese.
6. Application documents
- Checklist;
- Signature sheet of the candidate and coordinator (according to the form). Note: please leave the coordinator information blank;
- Nomination letter from the dean;
- Study plan (according to the form);
- Copy of English or Japanese certificate;
- Transcript (in English) of all semesters;
- Health certificate (according to the form);
- Copy of main passport page (not notarized) and 02 ID photos;
- Dormitory application form (according to the form);
- Financial documents as required.

The school recommends that faculties widely announce this Program so that interested students can register to participate. The nomination letter and application documents (including hard and soft copies) should be sent to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Scientific Management (Room B.005), email: era@hcmussh.edu.vn before September 4, 2025 (Thursday).
