The Faculty of Education organized a student cultural exchange combined with community service learning with University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)

From August 25 to August 27, 2025, the Faculty of Education at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), VNU-HCM, successfully collaborated with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to organize a student cultural exchange program. This event also included a community service-learning component.

The program was designed to promote cultural exchange, community engagement, and strengthen the friendship between students from Vietnam and Malaysia. It also provided an excellent opportunity for students, graduate students, researchers, and lecturers from both universities to share their learning and research experiences.

Key Activities

The main topics discussed at the seminar included:

• Science and Education: A discussion on mathematics and teaching methods for various subjects at an international level.

• Culture: An introduction to traditional Malaysian Batik weaving and other cultural aspects.

The event was attended by representatives from both universities, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Minh Quang, Dean of the Faculty of Education at USSH, and Dr. Ly Binh Nhung, a lecturer from the same faculty. The UTM delegation was led by Dr. Najua Syuhada binti Ahmad Alhassora and included lecturers, researchers, and students from the Faculty of Engineering and Science Education.

The presentations, which covered topics like STEM education and the beauty of traditional Malaysian culture (such as Batik weaving), were highly praised for their practicality and appeal. This helped the attendees gain a deeper understanding of each country's educational methods and cultural heritage.

The program was a great success. It not only achieved its initial goals of strengthening friendship and cultural understanding but also paved the way for future cooperation and academic exchange between the two universities.
