International Academic Conference on Education Transformation and Internationalization: “Sustainable Development Orientations for Vietnam and Taiwan (China)”

On August 21, 2026, the Faculty of Education, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City successfully organized the 2026 International Academic Conference on Education Transformation and Internationalization: “Sustainable Development Orientations for Vietnam and Taiwan (China)”.

The conference was held in an in-person format at the Linh Xuan campus, Ho Chi Minh City. The event gathered approximately 101 participants, including 21 international researchers from National Chi Nan University along with 80 domestic participants, including scientists, graduate students, and PhD candidates from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. 

The conference was organized to create an academic forum connecting research, training, and practice in the context of digital transformation and internationalization of education. This was an opportunity for participants to exchange research results, experiences, and models of educational innovation both domestically and internationally.

Furthermore, the conference focused on proposing policy orientations and feasible solutions to enhance the quality of education, digital capacity, and strengthen international cooperation. Thereby, the event contributes to elevating the academic reputation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the field of educational science, education, and sustainable development.

Within the framework of the conference, scientists and delegates focused on discussing core contents:

• AI Application in Education: Applying artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning toward experiential learning innovation.

• Developing Future Skills: Developing future-readiness and enhancing digital citizenship skills.

• Smart Educational Ecosystem: Building a smart educational ecosystem and AI-powered Smart Campus models.

• Internationalization of Education: Discussing governance, policy, quality assurance, and knowledge diplomacy in education.

• Educational and Behavioral Science Field: Exchanging research related to educational science, social sciences, and behavior.

The 2026 International Academic Conference was a great success, further affirming the effective academic cooperation relationship between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM and National Chi Nan University. The exchanges and recommendations at the conference will serve as an important foundation contributing to the promotion of digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development of education for both Vietnam and Taiwan (China) in the new era.
