Announcement on student and graduate student exchange program with Kyungdong University, South Korea for Spring semester 2026

Dear students,

The university would like to announce the information regarding the student and graduate student exchange program with Kyungdong University, South Korea for the Spring semester 2026, as follows:
1. Eligibility
- 2nd or 3rd-year undergraduate students or graduate students who have completed at least 02 semesters at the University and will not graduate at the time of participating in the program;
- Must have good academic standing or higher with a GPA of at least 2.71/3.0;
- Must have an IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 71, or New TEPS 327 or higher certificate if choosing the English-taught program, and a TOPIK 4 or higher certificate if choosing the Korean-taught program.
2. Majors
- For undergraduate level, English-taught majors include: International Business Administration, Smart Computing, International Hotel Management, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media Communication and Film Production, and Integrated Korean Business. The Integrated Korean Business major requires an additional TOPIK 4 or higher certificate.
- For master's level, English-taught majors include: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, International Business Administration, and International Tourism and Hotel Management.
3. Duration (tentative)
01 semester from February 2026 to August 2026.
4. Costs
Candidates are exempt from tuition fees and must cover other expenses themselves.
5. Quantity
Expected 05 slots for both levels. Each faculty can nominate a maximum of 02 candidates (including undergraduate and graduate students).
6. Application Documents
- Document list 01:
+ ID photo (3.5cmx4.5cm, white background);
+ Application form (template);
+ Student code of conduct (template);
+ Financial commitment letter (template);
+ Letter of consent for academic information disclosure (template);
+ Personal information collection consent form (template);
+ Copy of passport (colored);
+ Language certificate;
+ Academic transcript in English (original).
- Document list 02:
+ Certificate of enrollment/graduate status (consular legalized);
+ Recommendation letter from the Dean of the Faculty;
+ Academic transcript in English (consular legalized). For graduate students, an undergraduate degree certificate (consular legalized) is required;
+ Copy of bank balance statement within the last 6 months and Bank balance confirmation (with a balance of 6,500 USD or more, in the name of the candidate or parent);
+ Tuberculosis test result (from a hospital designated by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam).

7. Selection process
- Round 1: The university submits the documents in Document list 01 to Kyungdong University for preliminary screening. Kyungdong University will send a provisional admission letter to eligible candidates;
- Round 2: The university submits the documents in Document list 02 to Kyungdong University to finalize the official admission letter for the candidates.

8. Application method
- Faculties are requested to send the nomination letter and the application documents in Document list 01 (both hard and soft copies) to the International Relations and Science Management Office (Office B.005), email: era@hcmussh.edu.vn before 16:00, November 10, 2025 (Monday) for the university's nomination and Kyungdong University's preliminary screening;
- Candidates who pass Round 1 are requested to send the documents in Document list 02 (both hard and soft copies) to the International Relations and Science Management Office (Office B.005), email: era@hcmussh.edu.vn before 16:00, December 11, 2025 (Thursday) to receive the official admission letter.
