Announcement on student exchange program with Kanda University of International Studies, Spring semester 2026

Dear students,
The university would like to announce information regarding the student exchange program with Kanda University of International Studies for the Spring semester of 2026 as follows:
1. Academic Program
- Program 1: Japanese Language and Culture.
Students participate in courses at the Department of Foreign Languages or the Department of Global Liberal Arts in the following forms:
+ Form 1: Program on Japanese Language and Culture, requires Japanese proficiency of JLPT N5 or higher;
+ Form 2: Program on Japanese Language and Culture and courses taught in English, requires good English proficiency (TOEIC L&R 600, TOEFL iBT 54, TOEFL PBT 480, or IELTS 4.5 or higher);
+ Form 3: Program on Japanese Language and Culture and courses taught in Japanese, requires Japanese proficiency of JLPT N1 and level 6 or Japanese level 7.
- Program 2: Courses taught in English at the Department of Foreign Languages or the Department of Global Liberal Arts, requires good English proficiency (TOEIC L&R 600, TOEFL iBT 54, TOEFL PBT 480, or IELTS 4.5 or higher).
2. Timeline (tentative)
- Spring semester: March 2026 – July 2026;
- Fall semester: September 2026 – January 2027.
Note:
- Students in Program 1 can choose to exchange for 01 or 02 semesters; students in Program 2 can only exchange for 01 semester (Spring semester);
- Students in Program 1 can choose Program 2 during the second semester (in case of a 02-semester exchange).
3. Expenses
Students are exempt from tuition fees and are responsible for all other expenses.
4. Quota
Each department may nominate a maximum of 01 student.
5. Requirements
- Full-time students from the second year onwards with excellent academic performance; students must not be graduating during the duration of the program;
- Students must meet the Japanese or English proficiency requirements of the academic program.
6. Application Documents
- Japanese or English language certificate;
- Copy of passport (notarization not required);
- ID photo;
- Academic transcript (in English) for all semesters;
- Financial proof documents.
Remaining forms will be sent by Kanda University of International Studies to candidates after they are officially nominated by the university.
