The Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities Research celebrates Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20

On November 18, in a joyful atmosphere leading up to Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20, the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities Research held a warm gathering to express gratitude to all teachers. The meeting was attended by the Institute’s Leadership Board, Directors of Research Programs, the Deputy Director of the Center for Foreign Languages, along with lecturers, researchers, specialists, and collaborators working at the Institute.
During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thị Hồng Xuân - Director, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all lecturers, researchers, and specialists who have dedicated their efforts to the Institute’s mission in education, training, and scientific research. She emphasized that although the Institute is still in its early stages of development, it has achieved significant accomplishments in training, research, and community service. In the context of higher education reform and international integration, the Institute continues to focus on building and improving the quality of its human resources, considering this a key driving force for sustainable growth.
Over the past academic year, the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities Research has achieved many notable results: scientific publications in reputable international journals; numerous conferences, seminars, and academic activities of high professional quality; and the expansion of Southeast Asian language training programs, which contribute to spreading knowledge and strengthening cultural understanding within the ASEAN community. In addition, community service activities have continued to be effectively carried out, demonstrating the Institute’s commitment to social responsibility. These accomplishments reflect the constant efforts of the entire staff and contribute to the Institute’s sustainable development. The Board of Directors hopes that all members will continue to nurture their passion for research, maintain an innovative spirit, and work together to build the Institute into a reputable academic institution with a strong influence within the USSH’s knowledge ecosystem.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thị Hồng Xuân, the Director, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Lê Hoa Tranh, the Deputy Director, congratulated the teachers who achieved new academic titles and degrees in 2025. This year, the Institute proudly celebrates: Dr. Lê Minh Công - Director of the Mental Health Research and Support Program, who was recognized by the National Professor Council as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor; MA. Phạm Thanh Thôi - Director of the Ethnic Studies and Development Program, and MA. Trần Tuyên - Researcher, who successfully defended their doctoral dissertations, and Ms. Nguyễn Hoàng Anh Thư - Specialist, who completed her master’s thesis. These achievements contribute to strengthening the Institute’s human resources and affirm its academic potential.
The meeting was not only an opportunity to honor educators but also a meaningful moment to strengthen unity within the Institute and reinforce its long-term development orientation. The event highlighted the role of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities Research as a pioneer in innovation, interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, and enhancing the academic standing of the University in the era of integration and digital transformation.
