If you are seeking an unforgettable nature experience in Vietnam, the Night Safari at Cát Tiên National Park is one of the most immersive adventures you can find. Situated deep within a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, Cát Tiên reveals a different world when the sun goes down — a vibrant, mysterious, and captivating nocturnal ecosystem that few visitors ever get to see.
⭐ A Unique Nighttime Journey into Vietnam’s Tropical Rainforest
The tour begins at 6:00 - 8:00 PM, when guests board an open jeep and venture into the forest. The route takes you through bamboo corridors, quiet riverbanks, and vast grasslands — ideal habitats for the park’s diverse wildlife.
Under the guidance of experienced local rangers, the jeep moves slowly, using spotlights to illuminate the night. Suddenly, pairs of glowing eyes appear in the dark: sambar deer grazing peacefully, muntjacs darting across the meadow, or wild boars rummaging through the underbrush.
On certain nights, lucky visitors may also observe more elusive species such as porcupines, civets, and even the critically endangered pangolin, one of the rarest mammals in Asia.
This quiet, respectful form of wildlife viewing allows travelers to witness authentic animal behavior without disturbing the natural ecosystem — a hallmark of responsible ecotourism at Cát Tiên.
📸 A Paradise for Nighttime Photographers
The Night Safari offers exceptional photographic opportunities:
- reflections of deer eyes shimmering in the beam of the spotlight,
- birds resting silently on tree branches,
- the sounds of insects and amphibians echoing across the wetlands,
- layers of mist rising above the grasslands as nocturnal animals emerge.
For nature lovers, each moment becomes a vivid reminder that the rainforest never sleeps — it simply transforms.

🌤 Best Time to Join the Night Safari
The ideal season for the Night Safari is December to May, when dry weather ensures clear visibility and easy jeep access throughout the forest. Tours are available daily and suitable for solo travelers, couples, families, and international groups.
🌱 Expanding Conservation and Ecotourism Through Academic Partnership
In 2025, Cát Tiên National Park continues to strengthen its mission of conservation, environmental education, and sustainable tourism. The Park proudly announces that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH – VNU-HCM) will continue to accompany Cát Tiên through long-term collaborative programs in communication, training, and knowledge dissemination.
This partnership aims to:
- promote the values of biodiversity and rainforest conservation,
- enhance visitor awareness of responsible ecotourism,
- develop educational materials and training programs for students and tour guides,
- support international outreach so that more global travelers can experience Cát Tiên in an ethical and meaningful way.
Through this collaboration, the Night Safari is not only a tourist activity but also a platform to connect conservation science with public understanding — inspiring future generations to appreciate and protect Vietnam’s natural heritage.
