The First Academic Exchange Program among Universities of the ASEAN Education Deans' Association (AsTEN)

From November 30 to December 03, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM (USSH, VNU-HCM) successfully organized the First Academic Exchange Program among Universities of the ASEAN Education Deans' Association (AsTEN) in Thailand. Led by Dr. Nguyen Vien Thong, Dr. Ly Binh Nhung, and M.A. To Thi Thuy Loan , the program offered a valuable opportunity for 15 learners (students, master's students, pre-doctoral candidates, and doctoral researchers) currently studying at the University to experience international academic activities at Kasetsart University and Chulalongkorn University.

🏛️ Academic Experience at Two Leading Universities

The delegation participated in exchange and visiting activities at the two prestigious higher education institutions: Kasetsart University and Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).

The main objective of the program was to create opportunities for learners to experience modern teaching and learning assessment methods, and to interact with international faculty and students.

Key activities that took place:

• Learning and Academic Exchange:
  • Members were introduced to the Thai education system.
  • An academic exchange session was held between the Faculty of Education of Kasetsart University and the Faculty of Education of USSH, VNU-HCM.
  • The delegation learned about the governance models of the higher education institutions, as well as management activities, teaching methods, and learning assessment practices.
• Seminar Attendance:
  • Notably, the delegation attended the lecture "Educational Leadership in Digital Era" presented by Prof. Sukanya Chaemchoy at Chulalongkorn University.
  • Also within the framework of the program, the delegation visited the Demonstration School of Chulalongkorn University.
• Cultural Exchange:
  • A connecting activity program for cultural and language exchange with students at Kasetsart University was successfully organized.
  • This academic exchange program achieved the goal of providing USSH, VNU-HCM learners with opportunities to enhance international understanding, gain practical learning experience, and engage in cultural exchange within the ASEAN region.
