On the evening of January 9, 2026, the SE2 train officially departed from Saigon Railway Station, carrying 211 students from the QH22-24 cohort along with 03 lecturers from the International Relations program, Faculty of History and International Relations. From that moment, the annual "Northward Journey" field trip for second-year students officially began - opening a series of memorable learning, observational, and personal growth experiences in the capital city of Ha Noi.
Saigon Railway Station is not only the starting point of a long journey but also an emotional milestone in the growth journey of each IR-er. Amidst the sound of the train whistle echoing in the early evening, amidst the hurried pace of people and expectant gazes, there is a blend of excitement, nervousness, and a touch of wistfulness for the experiences lying ahead.

Before the train began its journey, the platform appeared with very familiar "frames": not only were there those setting off, but also those staying behind. Family, friends, lecturers from the International Relations program, along with representatives from the Youth Union - Student Association and clubs were present early to see them off, offering well-wishes and trust in a meaningful learning journey.

As the iron wheels began to roll along the tracks, heartbeats quickened accordingly. With tickets in hand and backpacks on shoulders, every International Relations student was ready to embark on a journey of discovery, where knowledge from the lecture hall meets the vivid reality of the country.
