LEADERSHIP OF THE FACULTY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES MET AND WORKED WITH DR. DAVID KOH ON COORDINATING THE ORGANIZATION OF A COMMUNITY SERVICE SEMINAR

On September 14, 2026, the leadership of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City met and worked with Dr. David Koh, Senior Lecturer at VinUniversity, to discuss the possibility of coordinating to organize a scientific seminar on community service in higher education.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the orientation of building the seminar towards connecting training - research - community service, sharing models and practical experiences, and at the same time promoting the participation of lecturers, students, and social partners.

The leadership of the Faculty of Oriental Studies emphasized that community service is not just a supplementary activity but needs to be linked to the social responsibility of the university, creating conditions for knowledge to be transformed into practical values for the community.

The two sides agreed to continue discussions to finalize the theme, content, organizational format, and network of speakers, aiming for a seminar with academic and practical value and the ability to create long-term connections.

The meeting opened up prospects for cooperation between the Faculty of Oriental Studies and partners in developing community-linked educational initiatives, thereby contributing to enhancing the role and social impact of the university.
