2. Training Objectives
2.1. General Objective: To train high-quality human resources with political and ethical qualities and community consciousness to serve the country's development and international integration; to grasp fundamental and systematic knowledge of social sciences, humanities, and International Studies; to have the ability to apply knowledge in researching transnational, regional, and global issues; to possess organizational and leadership skills; and the ability to communicate in foreign languages to meet the demands of regional and global integration.
2.2. Specific Objectives
Graduates of the International Studies program possess the knowledge, skills, and autonomy and responsibility competencies, specifically:
Knowledge:
- Mastery of fundamental knowledge in social sciences and humanities; understanding of political, economic, social, and cultural systems of countries and regions worldwide; basic knowledge of contemporary international issues. [PO1]
- In-depth knowledge and mastery of scientific research methods in the fields of international relations, international economics, international law, and international culture. [PO2]
Skills:
- Proficiency in searching, collecting, and analyzing information from various sources; analyzing and evaluating international issues logically, objectively, and scientifically; forecasting global development trends; and skillful use of foreign languages and research tools/applications to produce scientific reports. [PO3]
- Intercultural communication skills (in Vietnamese and English) and effective teamwork. [PO4]
Autonomy and Responsibility:
- Ability to self-study, research, and work independently. [PO5]
- Ability to adapt to multicultural working environments and take responsibility for one's work. [PO6]
- A sense of dedication to the country's and community's development through social activities; ability to inspire, demonstrate a sense of responsibility, and maintain a global citizenship mindset. [PO7]
