𝘼𝘾𝙎𝘼𝙎 (𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨) include INDAS – South Asia Studies Program (Japan), Center of Indian Studies – Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Institute of Indian Studies – Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (South Korea), South Asian Studies Program – Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore (Singapore) and Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Studies – Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences
(Vietnam). The Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Studies (VIISAS), Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) was among the founding members of ACSAS since 2016.
In 2020, the 4th ACSAS conference shall be organized in Hanoi, Vietnam on the theme “𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚: 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭”
𝙏𝙝𝙚 4𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝘾𝙎𝘼𝙎 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 is a collective efforts of all members of the network of Asian Consortium of South Asian Studies to contribute to the better understanding of the historical and more recent linkages between South and East-Southeast Asia; stimulating fresh thinking on policy solution to new development challenges; bring greater results in terms academic exchanges to provide authentic consulting service to policy-making circles as well as to the non-government sector.

𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝘼𝘾𝙎𝘼𝙎: ACSAS (Asian Consortium of South Asian Studies) was first initiated by INDAS (South Asia Studies Program - Japan) in 2016 with a view to develop South Asian Studies in the Asia – Pacific by promoting collaboration of various South Asian Studies institutes in the region. Currently, its members include INDAS – South Asia Studies Program (Japan), Center of Indian Studies – Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Institute of Indian Studies – Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (South Korea), South Asian Studies Program – Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore (Singapore) and Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Studies – Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (Vietnam).
