At 13:30 on November 27, the International Scientific Seminar program "Winter Anthropology 2023" (session 3) was held in room C103 of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Dinh Tien campus). The discussion took place with two topics that were the research of two international speakers:
- Session 4 “Cleaning the City with a Green Vision. The politics of waste responsibility, climate capitalism and waste imaginaries in Phnom Penh” presented by Dr. Kathrin Eitel (University of Zurich, Switzerland).
- Session 5 "Cross-border public health management in the Mekong region and response to the Corona virus pandemic - Focusing on disease control activities in the Mekong region of MBDS" by Dr. Ghimire Prasad Hari (Chiba University, Japan) presented.
The discussion session was chaired by Dr. Truong Thi Thu Hang (Dean of the Faculty of Anthropology), and Prof.Dr. Christina Schwenkel (Riverside University, USA, currently a Fulbright scholar at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) was the discussant, with more than 40 attendees who were officials, lecturers, graduate students, and students. graduate and students of the Faculty of Anthropology.
The program opened with opening remarks and introduction of 2 speakers by Dr. Truong Thi Thu Hang. Next, the two speakers took turns presenting and discussing by Professor Schwenkel and received a lot of interaction and questions from the attendees, creating an open and positive atmosphere for the program.
By 4:30 p.m., the discussion ended successfully in a friendly and cheerful atmosphere.
