On November 11, 2023, at Dinh Tien Hoang campus, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University-HCM, Faculty of Sociology organized held a conference of the Alumni Relations Committee Congress with the presence of Representative of the university's Alumni Relations Committee, the Chairman of the Department of Sociology, the Alumni Relations Committee for the term 2017 - 2023 and the delegates of the faculty Alumni.
Photo 1. The Congress of Alumni Relations Committee of the Faculty of Sociology 2023 - 2028 is an outstanding chance to network with alumni from a variety of degrees.
In the program, Dr. Nguyen Nu Nguyet Anh and MSc. Tran Nam - Deputy Head of the University's Alumni Relations Committee spoke about the Congress's orientation and thanked alumni of all courses for supporting the Department during the difficult time of the pandemic, and other important events of the Faculty, such as internship programs, extracurricular activities, and professional activities.

At the Congress, the representatives of the Alumni Association Relations Committee coordinated activities on reporting the results of the work of the Alumni Association Relations Committee for the period 2017 - 2023, and discussed the proposals for the direction of the new term of office and elected the Permanent Alumni Communication Board for the term 2023-2028.

After a period of discussion, the congress agreed that the consultation staff would represent 1-2 members for each session and ended the congress with a number of consultations of 23 members. Members, including alumni who have been nominated in advance of congress and at congress, specifically for non-members, will be directly contacted by the Relations Committee for additional membership.

After the Congress, the Relations Committee will meet with the Faculty Board of Directors to jointly elect the positions of Head, Deputy Chairman and Members, as well as organizational methods, determine roles, tasks, functions, planning and direction of work for the future.

With great pride and gratitude, the Relations Committee will be responsible for connecting, accompanying, and bonding between alumni of all courses, forming a strong and sustainable bond and building a community of Faculty Alumni, to grow with the University. Even though the conference has ended, the spirit of companionship and togetherness will continue to spread and shine.
