Meeting between the Faculty of Sociology - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City with Professor Phillip A. Hough - Florida Atlantic University, USA

On the morning of June 13, 2024, at Room A.315, Office of the Faculty of Sociology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH, VNU-HCM), the reception and working session were taken place between - Dean of the Faculty of Sociology - Dr. Nguyen Nu Nguyet Anh and Professor Phillip A. Hough - Florida Atlantic University, USA. The meeting aimed to develop the cooperative relationship between the two universities, and at the same time, Professor Phillip Hough introduced the research that he is conducting in Vietnam.

Beginning the meeting, Professor Phillip A. Hough briefly introduced Florida Atlantic University, USA and the International Journal of Comparative Sociology. In particular, Professor Phillip A. Hough has been implementing a research project on the coffee production industry in Vietnam - comparing it with typical coffee production industries in the world, such as Columbia and Kenya. The discussion took place enthusiastically about many important issues related to study programs, research opportunities and scientific conference programs. The significance of this event not only helps representatives of the two schools better understand the training and research programs of both the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM and Florida Atlantic University, USA, but also opens up many opportunities for international cooperation, promising a future of development for both universities.
