National Scientific Seminar on Population Quality and Sustainable Development to Be Held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

As economic and social development continues to grow, human resources emerge as a fundamental driver of progress, directly linked to demographic changes in both quantity and quality. The population is both a goal and a force for development, making demographic issues a major concern for countries globally. Enhancing the quality of the population is the foundation for developing high-quality human resources, which, in turn, contribute to the rapid and sustainable growth of any nation.
In recognition of this critical topic, the Faculty of Sociology at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), is organizing a National Scientific Seminar on "Population Quality and Sustainable Development." This event aims to expand both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding demographic changes in Vietnam and provides an opportunity for academics, researchers, PhD candidates, students, and practitioners to engage with new insights and research findings in this field. The seminar will also explore practical applications for teaching and practice.
The seminar will provide a platform for scholars and practitioners to present research on population quality in relation to sustainable development, with a focus on the impact of globalization, international integration, and the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic in Vietnam. Furthermore, the event will serve as a space for interdisciplinary discussions on strategies to enhance population quality and advance sustainable development in Vietnam. The results of the seminar will offer valuable updates to faculty, students, and researchers in sociology and related disciplines, while also suggesting new directions for future research.
