Japanese Studies students achieve high results at the 11th Japanese Language Proficiency Competition – (Hibiki) – Resonance

On May 31, 2026, the Final Round of the 11th Japanese Language Proficiency Competition – (Hibiki) – Resonance took place excitingly with the participation of excellent teams from many universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Japanese Language Proficiency Competition is a Japanese language capability contest organized by the FJC Japanese Club – Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City Campus. Through more than 10 seasons of organization, the competition has become a prestigious academic playground for students who love the Japanese language and culture. Not only evaluating language knowledge, the competition also focuses on critical thinking, creativity, teamwork skills, and the ability to convey messages in Japanese. With this year's theme being “ – Hibiki – Resonance”, the competition aims to encourage young people to confidently raise their voices and spread positive values to the community.

The Faculty of Oriental Studies – Japanese Studies program would like to congratulate the Japanese Studies students who excellently achieved high results in the competition.

  • The Championship prize was awarded to the team 三好ミルクティー (Miyoshi Mirukuti), consisting of 3rd-year standard program students of the 2023 cohort: Dau Thanh Anh, Tran Quoc Bao, and Nguyen Thi Nhu Y.

  • The Third-place prize was awarded to the team 一期一会(Ichigo Ichie, consisting of 1st-year international program students of the 2025 cohort: Pham Thi Thuy Duyen and Chang Bui Boi Phuong.

This achievement is the result of the students' dedicated learning process, their practice of Japanese language skills, and their teamwork spirit. At the same time, this is a testament to their love for the Japanese language and culture, as well as the proactive learning attitude and self-confidence of Japanese Studies students when participating in large-scale and highly competitive academic arenas.

The Japanese Studies program recognizes and commends the positive spirit, enthusiasm, and tireless efforts of the students. We hope that these proud achievements will continue to spread the passion for learning, inspiring subsequent generations of students on their journey to conquer the Japanese language and explore Japanese culture.
