At 8:00 AM on March 27, 2026, the talkshow “Awake – Decoding Online Traps,” jointly organized by the Faculty Youth Union and the Student Association, was successfully held at room D509 (Saigon campus), attracting great interest and active participation from students.
In the era of the booming digital technology, cyberspace, besides its conveniences, also harbors numerous sophisticated traps. This talkshow was organized to provide students in general with practical knowledge to protect themselves and their loved ones from online fraudulent schemes.
The talkshow was honored to feature Lieutenant Vu Truong Giang as the speaker. With an approachable and easy-to-understand sharing style, the speaker brought forward real-life stories and typical scenarios of the distressing forms of online fraud present today. Beyond just warning about the schemes, Lieutenant Vu Truong Giang also provided in-depth analysis of the psychological manipulation tactics that cause many people to unintentionally fall into traps. From there, it helps every young person build a solid security “shield” for themselves when participating in cyberspace.
The “Awake – Decoding Online Traps” talkshow has concluded, but the value of the lessons on vigilance remains. Hopefully, through the program, every student will stay alert and be equipped with sufficient skills to become wise and safe “digital citizens”!
