
The University announces the student exchange program with Waseda University, Japan for 2027 as follows:
1. Requirements
- Full-time undergraduate students from their second year onwards, with a good academic record or higher;
- Students must have a JLPT N1 certificate or higher for programs taught in Japanese, or an IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL (iBT) score of 80 or higher for programs taught in English (note: each faculty may have specific requirements regarding language proficiency and GPA; students should carefully check these conditions before applying);
- Students must commit to not graduating during the duration of the program.
2. Duration (tentative)
01 academic year, from March 2027 to February 2028.
3. Costs
Students are exempt from tuition fees while participating in the program and must cover all other expenses themselves.
4. Quantity
01 student.
5. Majors
Law, Education, Political Science and Economics, Commerce, Social Sciences, International Liberal Studies, Fundamental Science and Engineering, Advanced Science and Engineering, Creative Science and Engineering, Culture, Media and Society, Human Sciences, Sports Sciences.
6. Application Documents
- Application Checklist (according to template);
- Copy of passport;
- Certificate of Enrollment (in English);
- Academic transcript for all semesters (in English);
- Grading scale certificate (in English) (to be provided if the transcript does not use a 4.0 scale);
- Recommendation letter from the faculty (according to template);
- Language proficiency certificate (valid);
- Additional academic qualification documents (if any);
- 05 passport photos size 3x4 (clearly write full name, date of birth, and university on the back);
- Study plan (free format according to template);
- Financial proof (proving at least 1,440,000 JPY/academic year).
7. Notes
- After being nominated, students will proceed to complete the online application and the online Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) application form;
- This academic year, exchange students are not eligible for the JASSO scholarship, according to the notification from Waseda University.
