Announcement regarding the 8th WRICOS Writing Competition for the 2025-2026 academic year by the Silk-Road Universities Network (SUN)

The University announces the 8th WRICOS Writing Competition for the 2025-2026 academic year by the Silk-Road Universities Network (SUN) as follows:

1. General Information:
WRICOS is an international writing competition held annually to honor the cultural, historical, and linguistic diversity of the nations along the Silk Road, while encouraging students to share their perspectives through creative works.
2. Themes:
- Poetry category: Voices of the Silk Road: Connecting Cultures;
- Essay category: In your opinion, what is the most serious challenge threatening the sustainable development of modern civilization? Why do you believe this is the most critical challenge? As university students, what roles should we play and what actions should we take to contribute to solving this problem?
3. Eligibility: Students currently enrolled at member universities of the Silk-Road Universities Network (SUN).
4. Registration method: Students must complete the online application form on the SUN website at: www.sun-silkroadia.org.
5. Timeline:
- Submission deadline: 23:59 (GST), September 7, 2026;
- Announcement of results: September 28, 2026.
6. Prize structure:
- Grand Prize: 01 for the poetry category and 01 for the essay category;
- Award of Excellence: 02 for poetry and 02 for essays;
- Award of Selection: 07 for poetry and 07 for essays.

Note: Winning entries will be translated into multiple languages, published as an e-book, and posted on the official SUN website for one year. Benefits and schedules are subject to change based on actual circumstances.
