International conference "Oriental studies: Issues in Teaching and Research in the Current context of International integration"

Oriental studies encompasses a rich interdisciplinary exploration of social, cultural, economic, and political dynamics within oriental countries and regions. Over time, this field has captivated scholars worldwide and has become a cornerstone of academic programs in numerous universities. Yet, despite its prominence, the realm of Oriental studies remains ripe for further discussion and exploration, with many issues awaiting deeper investigation. Therefore, the international conference titled “Oriental studies: Issues in Teaching and Research in the Current context of International integration”, hosted by the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, is driven by the following objectives:
Firstly, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the formation and development of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (FOS, the USSH, VNUHCM);
Secondly, to reassess the accomplishments and deficiencies in oriental studies training and research at the USSH, VNUHCM. From this evaluation, it seeks to propose future directions, methodologies, and approaches for enhancing oriental studies training and research endeavors;
Thirdly, to summarize recent training and research endeavors in oriental studies within Vietnam and abroad and to proactively propose new avenues for collaborative training and research initiatives in the future.
We cordially invite you to submit your full paper for the conference. Selected papers will be presented in the conference, and peer-reviewed for potential publication in the conference proceedings book.
