Greetings from the AsTEN Secretariat!

We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming AsTEN Sharing Session titled:

From Service to Purpose: Empowering Purposeful Educators through NIE Group Endeavours in Service-Learning (GESL)

The session will be delivered by Dr. Yvonne Seng, Assistant Dean for Student Development and Values Education at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, on March 11, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM (Singapore Time) via Zoom, aligned with AsTEN Strategic Direction 3: Teacher Quality, Performance, and Welfare, highlighting how service-learning can be intentionally integrated into teacher preparation to form purposeful, values-driven educators.

Following the sharing, we will open the floor for a brief exchange where participating universities are invited to share how service-learning, community engagement, or similar initiatives are being practiced within their own institutions. This will allow us to collectively learn from one another and strengthen the network's shared practices.
